Foldafoss lies close to the Oxi pass on the mid eastern coast of Iceland. Although difficult to reach in bad weather it is relatively safe to travel there in mid-summer. The best shots are to be had close to the main part of the falls. The challenge is reaching there without either you or your equipment fall down a seriously steep ravine.
For this shot I tried to balance the tripod on a couple of large boulders setting up my filters to gain enough of a long exposure to capture the beauty of the falls.
The challenge as in so many waterfall captures is to achieve a long-exposure that is not ruined by unseen water spray on either the lens or the filters.
