Norfolk is famous for its early morning mists. This particular morning, having got down to the coast at Burnham Overy Staithe before sunrise I knew I was in for a treat. The mists rolled in shrouding the harbour and giving the scene a sense of mystery and intrigue.
Shooting at f20 to ensure adequate depth of field and using a tripod, I took numerous exposures, plumping for 1/6th of a second exposure for the final image. Only limited post-processing was required as the mist did most of the heavy lifting for me.
They say no pain no gain. Getting up at 5.00 am is no fun. However, I returned back to my room jubilant by 8.00 am, allowing myself a few hours of well-needed sleep.
